Archives of Neuropsychiatry is the official scientific journal of the Turkish Neuropsychiatric Association. It is a double-blind, peer‑reviewed scientific journal issued under a continuous publication model. Accepted manuscripts are published promptly after completing the necessary checks and editorial processes, receiving a DOI label, and being assigned a volume and page number.
The journal publishes clinical and basic science articles in neurology, psychiatry, and related behavioral sciences. Manuscripts addressing topics of shared interest across these disciplines are particularly encouraged. The journal accepts submissions in the following categories: original research, reviews, short communications, case reports, and letters to the editor. The target audience of the journal consists of researchers and physicians working in, or with an interest in, neurology, psychiatry, and behavioral sciences.
The editorial and publishing processes of the journal are structured in accordance with the guidelines of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), Council of Science Editors (CSE), Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), European Association of Science Editors (EASE), and National Information Standards Organization (NISO). The Archives of Neuropsychiatry has adopted the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing (doaj.org/bestpractice).
Archives of Neuropsychiatry is indexed by Science Citation Index-Expanded (SCI-E), PubMed Central, SCOPUS, Journal Citation Reports/Science Edition, EMBASE, ProQuest, EBSCO, PSYCHinfo, CINAHL, Gale/Cengage Learning, Turkish Psychiatry Index, TUBITAK ULAKBIM TR Index, and the Turkish Citation Index.
All manuscripts must be submitted to the journal through the online submission system available at www.noropsikiyatriarsivi.com. Authors can access the journal’s guidelines, required forms, and other information related to manuscript preparation and submission in the instructions for authors section. All expenses of the journal are covered by the Turkish Neuropsychiatric Association. For manuscripts submitted to the journal and accepted for publication after scientific evaluation, an article publication fee is charged by the Turkish Neuropsychiatric Association. All copyrights of the content published in the journal belong to the Turkish Neuropsychiatric Association.
Visuals and announcements containing promotions of medical drugs, materials, and devices may be published in the journal. With the approval of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Neuropsychiatric Association regarding financial and bureaucratic procedures, the authority to decide on the inclusion of such promotional visuals and announcements in the journal belongs to the editorial management. Interested parties are advised to apply to the association’s board of directors.
